Personally speaking, I remember the "Addams family" when I hear the term gothic. Morticia Addams surely is one fashionable woman, in the gothic sense of the word. She and her skintight black gown will never be forgotten.
But gothic fashion has been evolving throughout the years. If before you only think of the word black when it comes to gothic, nowadays you see more variety. Skulls, spikes, and studs are just some things that now put fun in the word gothic. Also, in addition to plain black- pops of lavender, silver, and light pink colors can be seen- and are even put on hair as dyes.
To add more interest, Japanese fashion has also been putting the gothic fashion in a different level. It's now like the era when anime and cosplaying goes to the dark side. Gothic Lolita as it is called, has been a very popular fashion style in Japan since the 1990s. But this style has nothing to do with sexual desire. It is actually best described as dressing up like a Victorian doll. You can see the Gothic Lolita wear black and white contrasted clothing, frilly tops and skirts with lots of laces and stockings.
Fierce. Interesting.
What do you think of this Gothic Lolita fashion?
Have fun girls! Happy wicked Wednesday!
