Is anyone here not feeling the holidays yet? Well open your eyes, your heart, and your mind! Take a deep breath, and feel the air. Because truly, the Christmas fever is everywhere!

Christmas parties of all sorts are happening! And what is it that we see alot of people wearing? Sequins! Glitters! Gold! Silver! Bronze! All dazzling and shining and seems to be beaming at us with happiness.

When Denim gets Tougher

Denim- one of the most classic, most timeless pieces in the world of fashion.

Ever since I can remember, denim has been one of the hottest items there is to wear. Whether you're a fan of jeans, or the boyish look, or even if you're the super girly type who loves dresses and chiffon, and womanly cuts, you must admit. You still have one or two pieces of denim in your wardrobe. That denim can be soft denim. It can be sequined. It can be fringe. It can be layered. It can be textured. Nowadays, there are more options on denim. Lots of ideas. Lots of ways to wear denim.

  Herve Leger

Chanel

I recently got inspired to write about denim after reading a lot of fashion articles on the subject. Did you know that denim over denim or "double denim" actually got the fashion world debate on whether it is acceptably cool or not? Both Vogue Mexico and Vogue Brazil did covers on double denim- making the trend a must-try for all the fearless fashionistas out there.

What's your favorite denim piece?
Have fun with denim girls!

Much love, Jessica / Korean Rose =)

Gothic Princess

Halloween- the time of the year when alot of people wear black and wicked costumes- sure is over, but gothic fashion is still not a thing of the past. So what is it exactly? Wikipedia actually describes gothic fashion as something dark, sometimes morbid, eroticized fashion and style of dressing. Wow that's deep.

Personally speaking, I remember the "Addams family" when I hear the term gothic. Morticia Addams surely is one fashionable woman, in the gothic sense of the word. She and her skintight black gown will never be forgotten.

But gothic fashion has been evolving throughout the years. If before you only think of the word black when it comes to gothic, nowadays you see more variety. Skulls, spikes, and studs are just some things that now put fun in the word gothic. Also, in addition to plain black- pops of lavender, silver, and light pink colors can be seen- and are even put on hair as dyes.

To add more interest, Japanese fashion has also been putting the gothic fashion in a different level. It's now like the era when anime and cosplaying goes to the dark side. Gothic Lolita as it is called,  has been a very popular fashion style in Japan since the 1990s. But this style has nothing to do with sexual desire. It is actually best described as dressing up like a Victorian doll. You can see the Gothic Lolita wear black and white contrasted clothing, frilly tops and skirts with lots of laces and stockings.

Fierce. Interesting.

What do you think of this Gothic Lolita fashion?

Have fun girls! Happy wicked Wednesday!

The Story of the Pink Leopard

A lot of girls love pink. A lot love leopard prints. A lot love both pink and leopard prints. So what do you get when pink is combined with leopard print? You get  a fierce pink leopard. You get a sexy girly irresistible combo.

Check out these cool fashion ideas on the subject. Dare to feel sexy. Dare to stand out, the pink leopard style!

Lip art

Eye make-up

Jeweled nails

Lace undies

Ankle booties

 Vintage shorts

  Sporty coat

But now if you can't find good pink leopard stuff, or if you think the combo is too girly and is not much your style--- why not try combining the classic brown leopard with something pink instead? Styling these 2 trends together will surely also bring out the more subtle yet equally fierce fashionista in you...

Have fun girls! Happy Monday!

Meet Korean Rose

People have been asking me about who I am-- am I really Korean? Am I from Korea? Do I speak Korean? I say "NO".. so, Why Korean Rose?

Well, mainly for 2 reasons:

(1) KOREAN- My clothing store was inspired by the K-pop or Korean Pop fashion which I find really cute, fun, interesting, never boring, and definitely fab. I only sell styles which I personally would like to wear, or what I would like to see other girls like me wearing. Textures, colors, unique cuts, sexy backs, studs, glitters, sequins-- you'll see a lot of these things here. The Korean Rose girl is cool. She is definitely striking. She stands out.
(2) ROSE- If you already know me personally, well you would know that my real name is Jessica Rose. So there, hence the "Rose" in Korean Rose. Korean Rose fashion boutique was created as a result of my love for fashion-- for beautiful clothes--- for trends-- for great styling.

Personally, my style is really girly- lots of pink, soft fabrics, textures, glitter, intricate details, animal print, sort of sexy yet subtle look... Let me share with you some of my most favorite pics during the most memorable days of my life for you to maybe understand me and my style better. =)
